The ministry houses several facets which includes: Kidz World, an After School Program for Pre Kindergarten through eighth grade students; K.L.U.B, a daily after school program for high school; Creative Life Preparatory School and Daycare, which is available for babies 6 weeks and youth through high school; Pure Destiny, a weekly Abstinence and Character Development Program for Middle and Senior High School students; Warriors is a weekly Christian Leadership Program which has four levels of learning – PeeWee Warriors, 3rd through 5th; junior Warriors, middle school students; Life Warriors, high school students; Zoe Warriors, for high school graduates who are in college and/or career development. Warriors boast 70 youth who meet weekly to learn through the Word of God how to live a successful life. There are a plethora of weekly Creative Arts classes and activities that are provided for youth to be steered away from dead end involvements into a true wholesome lifestyle.

Our Founder: In 1978, Dr. Carolyn Bibbs founded a ministry to youth, Jesus Explosion Fellowship Ministries. This ministry was responsible for providing soul searching dramas throughout Memphis in auditoriums, churches, schools and eventually throughout the country. Youth came from throughout the city and were involved in creative arts training and performances, youth rallies, monthly fellowship breakfast, and a week Bible.

“My goal in life has been to reach people esp. youth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It has been my life's mission.I want to see the transforming power of Jesus allow these youth to break free from this vicious cycle of poverty and lead normal lives.”

Out of this passion was birthed Creative Life, Incorporated. Creative Life is non-profit community youth development corporation which has served the children and families of southwest Memphis since 1988. Our mission is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ by providing creative learning opportunities for urban youth and their families in our service area. Our primary goal is that children and youth be strengthened in their capacity to pursue school success and are equipped with tools to resist the social pressures towards delinquent and destructive behaviors. Our secondary goal is that the family will be supported and strengthened in their capacity to be strong, caring, and self-sufficient. The program started with 40 youth in an after school program at Carver High School that would spiritually, educationally and socially impact the lives of the students. Although, the program was quite successful in the first year with growth to 67 students, Dr. Bibbs felt that the program would be more beneficial if started with younger children. The following year the program added both Kansas Elementary School and Riverview Middle School. The growth of the program caused the ministry to seek a larger place that would house the participants and staff. The current facility, a 21,000 square foot warehouse located at 1222 Riverside was renovation and is now owned and operated by the ministry.
